This above image looks like it could be the scene of a crime/thriller. This man is the head of a corporation and is being stalked by an assassin, agent, or bounty hunter. Looks like one of the Bourne films!
This looks like a lonely, pessimistic writer type, living in a large city. Grumpy and not very sociable, his friend sets him up on a blind date. Here he is, calling on her in her semi-abandoned apartment block to pick her up. The plot becomes a rom-rom 'Along Came Polly' type with a manic-pixie-dream-girl trope leading woman to carry him out of his misery and show him a new way of life (yawn)
These women are hatching a plan to murder their husbands. Like an OAP horrible bosses. They want to claim their late partners' life insurance and savings and go abroad.
Long-lost twins reunited again after they were separated at a very young age. They are completely different ends of the personality/ social spectrum, and hilarity ensues.
Guy loses a drunken bet after embarking upon a Christmas time pub crawl, and this is his forfeit.
The scene I would choose would be the one with the man in front of the building (second image I used). The title, since the story would probably be in the romantic comedy genre, could easily be a common phrase or idiom as befits films of this kind.
The setting would be inside the apartment. As we can see from the photo, there is a 'we have moved' sign, which maybe suggests it was once used as an office or studio by a company or professional. Now instead the building has been partially vacated, and the girl has converted the studio to a living place for cheap. She is eccentric, probably lower-middle class, works an artistic job that doesn't pay particularly well. Her personality is extroverted but socially anxious, but she is sweet and talkative. Her name would be Imogen or Viola- something flowery and feminine.
The man is almost her social antithesis. From years of introversion and practical solitude he is slightly surly, set in his ways, and not terribly outgoing. He doesn't often try new things and is not one for adventure. He is a writer, and as such does not work social hours and works in isolation, either at home in his office or his studio. He has a very common name to reflect his personality, like George or Sam.
The main plot of the film would be them meeting after being set up by a mutual friend on a blind date; both of them not liking the other because of their clashing personality types, and refusing to see each other again. However, they keep bumping into each other at public events and in spaces like the supermarket and on public transport, and begin to take more of an interest in each other.
This would be such an unimaginatively predictable film, but for that reason it feels like it would be very easy to write.
I quickly wrote up the scene as the man walks into the woman's apartment, as she is still getting ready. It's not at all good, but it's a start I suppose.
